Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As the two fighters met for the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
